Men of the Rivers state police command have arrested five people for murder.

According to reports, the suspects, who are said to be cultists allegedly killed one Rowland Horsfall, a 34-year-old entertainer.

Speech Horsefall, the entertainer kidnapped and killed by cultists.

The victim, who was popularly known as Speech Horsfall was reported to have been kidnapped in September 2024 by members of the Iceland cult group.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the command, SP Grace Iringe-Koko identified the suspects as: Endurance Friday Thompson, the prime suspect, and Boma Otonye a.k.a. Excess Chief (41), David Link Ishaku a.k.a. Biggy (34), Moses Nsikak Benjamin a.k.a. Aboy (29) and Emmanuel Aniete (32).

She added that Thompson has sent threatening pictures and voice notes to the victims girlfriend, stating that he would be killed if the ransom wasn’t paid.

The PPRO added that the cultists had demanded N2.5 million from Horsfall’s mother, and she sent the sum of 300,000 to her sons account without knowing he had been killed

Upon interrogations, Thompson and other suspects confessed to the crime, while explaining how the victim was killed, and his body disposed after the collection of ransom.

“The command has intensified its manhunt for the remaining suspects to ensure they face the full wrath of the law,” she added.
