Akwa Ibom First Lady Passes On After Brief Illness

In a devastating announcement, the Akwa Ibom State government has confirmed the death of Pastor Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, wife of Governor Pastor Umo Eno.

The state’s Commissioner for Information, Ini Ememobong, revealed that the First Lady passed away in the early hours of September 26, 2024, at a local hospital, succumbing to an undisclosed illness.

Ememobong’s statement, titled “Unexpected Sunset,” expressed the profound sorrow felt by the state government, stating, “It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of the Wife of the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Her Excellency, Pastor Mrs. Patience Umo Eno.”

He added that she died peacefully surrounded by family, and her loved ones are now seeking privacy during this difficult time.
