Former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has alleged that Labour Party candidate, Peter Obi, won the 2023 presidential election in Rivers State.

Amaechi made the statement on Saturday during an X Space discussion, adding that while he agreed Obi won the state, he could not explain how the results were changed.

According to the official results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission, President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress scored 231,591 votes in Rivers State, while the Labour Party polled 175,071 votes. The Peoples Democratic Party finished third with 88,468 votes.
