Amotekun Arrests Two Indian Hemp Dealers In Ondo | Daily Report Nigeria

  • Men of the Ondo state Amotekun Corps have arrested two suspected drug dealers in the state.

  • The suspects were apprehend with over 100 bags cannabis in their vehicle.

Operatives of the Ondo state Amotekun corps have arrested two suspected Indian Hemp dealers in the state.

The suspects, identified as Alade Kehinde, 45, and Dada Kehinde, 55, who are both indigene of Owo Local Government Area of the state were arrested with a total of 108 bags of cannabis in their vehicle.

Confirming the arrest, the Head of Communications Department, Adeleye Abiodun Adewale said the duo were arrested during a night patrol by the Amotekun around the Emure Local Government Area

The press release says;

The Amotekun officers at Emure Ekiti intercepted and impounded a white unregistered (J5) van, conveying a total of 108 bags of cannabis sativa, better known as ‘Indian hemp,’ at the border town of Emure Ekiti in Ekiti State and that of Owo in Ondo State.”

Adding, “The efforts of the two suspects to induce the officers of the Amotekun Corps with a sum of N500,000 failed due to them turning down the offer ,” it adds

He added that after series of investigation and interrogations, the suspects confessed to the crime, adding that

they were driving the fully-loaded Indian hemp vehicle to an unspecified destination in Ondo State before they were apprehended and handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Ekiti State, along with the exhibits and vehicle, for proper investigation,” according to them.
