A prominent chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Abdullahi Enilolobo, has denied allegations of defecting from the party.

Addressing the media in Alimosho, Enilolobo emphasised his commitment to APC and President Bola Tinubu’s leadership.

Enilolobo noted his dedication to APC, citing his contributions.

He said: “ I have served APC and its legacy parties meritoriously in various capacities. These include: Lagos State Youth leader, Southwest Youth Leader, and Lagos State organising secretary. I have also been active in the party’s campaign organisations on different election cycles, serving in Mobilisation and Monitoring directorates.”He accused some leaders and former members of House of Assembly of being behind the news of his defection from the party, saying he has contributed more than them.

He reiterated his commitment to the party. “I have always been, and continue to be a dedicated progressive democrat under leadership of President Bola Tinubu.

No party has the ideological strength or internal cohesion to lure me away from APC. Likewise, no individual can make me abandon the party to which I have dedicated my life’s service.

“ In recent times, detractors have sponsored serial but unproven allegations against me. I am not unaware these fabrications stem from their desperation to pursue selfish interests. My political relevance has become their target but my loyalty to APC and to Mr. President is total, unwavering and unalloyed, he said.

The chieftain noted that his contributions to APC’s success in 2023 are irrefutable, and he has continued to be active in APC.

Enilolobo reaffirmed his loyalty to the President and APC, saying their bond is unbreakable. He urged Nigerians to be patient with the temporary outcomes of Renewed Hope Initiatives, emphasising that these efforts will yield lasting gains for the nation.
