Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has publicly criticised President Bola Tinubu for omitting Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike in his recent statement regarding the unrest in Rivers State.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Following local government elections that sparked violence, Tinubu condemned the arson of secretariats and ordered police intervention, yet Eze believes Wike’s absence from the discourse is alarming.

Eze praised Tinubu’s intervention but expressed disappointment that Wike, widely seen as a key player in the crisis, was not specifically addressed.

“But calling on Governor Fubara without mentioning Wike and his loyalists is unacceptable,” he asserted.

Eze accused Wike’s supporters of being behind the violence, stating, “Those behind these atrocious acts are not denying their devilish acts.”

While acknowledging Tinubu’s concern over the crisis, Eze emphasised the need for more decisive action, calling for the Inspector General of Police to ensure the arrest of those responsible.

“Not giving a stern directive to fish out masterminds is worrisome,” urging the Rivers State government to investigate and apprehend those instigating chaos.

Eze further urged Wike to adopt a more peaceful approach, highlighting the examples set by other political leaders.

He lamented the security situation in Rivers, contending that “the withdrawal of police after months of occupation was ill-timed.”

Eze concluded by calling for accountability and action against the perpetrators to restore peace in the state.
