Atiku meets Bafarawa

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar says he has had ‘’quality discussions’’ with erstwhile Sokoto State Governor  Attahiru Bafarawa in Abuja.

Although Atiku did not give insight into the quality of his talks, it is believed that the meeting was part of his moves to garner support in the Northwest ahead of his 2027 presidential ambition. 

Bafarawa resigned from PDP last January, saying he needed to start a new chapter of service that aligns with his vision of uplifting humanity through.

In a tweet on X, the former Vice-President said,  ‘’Yesterday (Sunday)  evening, I paid a courtesy visit to the former Governor of Sokoto State, His Excellency Attaihu Bafarawa, at his residence in Abuja.

‘’ I’m happy to have met him in such a hospitable condition and to have had quality discussions with him.”

The tweet was accompanied by photographs of the duo.
