Engineer Udengs Eradiri, who had previously run for governor as a candidate for the Labour Party (LP), went to X (which was then known as Twitter) during the 2024 Bayelsa State Gubernatorial Election to express his dissatisfaction with the recent abuse that he has been receiving on social media since he left the LP. Eradiri had previously run for governor as a candidate for the LP.

According to a post that was published on the official X account of Engineer Udengs Eradiri, the former bigwig of the LP, he said that persons who are blaming him for leaving the LP should put in a lot of work and spend their money in order to be ready for the year 2027 or else they would be criticised. Additionally, he said that they should get nomination and expression of interest forms in line with the program of the LP, and then wait to see the outcomes of the election once they have done so. Throughout the duration of the race for governor, he maintained his position that the Liberty Party was not an effective political party for him.
