Best Booking Codes for the EPL Title Race This Weekend

2 weeks ago 9

Alongside the fascinating relegation battle in the English Premier League this term the title race has been equally as interesting.

Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool have been neck-and-neck throughout the majority of the season thus far, competing in a three-horse race for the title that we have rarely seen in the Premier League era.

Twists and turns have occurred along the way, with the most recent seeing Liverpool and Arsenal drop points with Manchester City now holding the advantage thanks to their game in hand that could take them top of the table.

While Arsenal were able to recover after their loss, winning their following three matches, Liverpool’s loss to Manchester United has seemingly derailed their season as they have since gone on to lose against Crystal Palace and Everton and draw to West Ham United and Manchester United, leaving them five points behind the league leaders with just three games remaining.

These final three matches are likely to host plenty more shocking twists in the tale though, providing plenty of drama and action.

With this, we’ve picked out our best booking codes for the upcoming fixtures in the EPL title race:

Arsenal vs Bournemouth

Kai Havertz struggled during his start to life at Arsenal, resulting in even more criticism from fans after initially doubting the expensive transfer from Chelsea in the summer window.

However, the German performances started to improve late in 2023, scoring four times from the end of November to the beginning of January. Havertz truly exploded into form in late February when a change in system pushed him from midfield to becoming Arsenal’s starting striker, resulting in nine goals and five assists in his last 15 appearances for the club.

He will be coming into this game in extremely good spirits after scoring a brilliant double against former club Chelsea and another against bitter rivals Tottenham, and we believe the German will continue his goalscoring form in this one.

Kai Havertz to score anytime, 2.20

Manchester City vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

Manchester City started the season unusually slow by their standards with a particularly difficult spell in the winter months that saw Pep Guardiola’s side fail to win in four successive league matches, drawing three and losing to Aston Villa. That loss was the last time that City lost in domestic competition, with their only loss since this coming as a penalty defeat to Real Madrid in the last round of the Champions League.

They come into this game on a 19-game unbeaten streak in the Premier League and while they are trailing Arsenal by a point at the top of the table, City hold a game in hand on those around them that could prove vital to them winning the league.

While Wolves were able to pick up their first win in eight against Luton last time out, Man City are a completely different challenge and we believe that City will go on to win this one fairly comfortably come the end of 90 minutes.

Manchester City to win & over 3.5 goals, 1.80

Liverpool vs Tottenham Hotspur

Liverpool’s loss to Manchester United in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup, after conceding a 120th-minute winner by Amad Diallo, saw them handed their first loss in nine games.

While they were initially able to bounce back with victories over Brighton and Sheffield United, they went on to draw 2-2 with Manchester United during their trip to Old Trafford in the league. These two meetings have seemingly derailed Liverpool’s season as they have gone on to lose three games, including crashing out of the Europe League to Atalanta and falling five points behind Arsenal at the top of the table, leaving their hopes for a Premier League title hanging by a thread.

They now come up against a Tottenham Hotspur side who are competing with Aston Villa for a place in the top four, leaving this one as a must-win game for both teams.

Tottenham won the reverse fixture 2-1 in one of the most controversial games in the league season and with Liverpool in such poor form in recent weeks, we believe that Tottenham will pick up a victory here.
