Nigerian cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has opened up about contemplating suicide amid allegations of offering a N15 million bribe.

These accusations stem from an audio recording released by activist and social media influencer Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan.

In the recording, Bobrisky allegedly offered N15 million to operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to drop money laundering charges and avoid imprisonment at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre in Lagos State.

Bobrisky has strongly denied the allegations, calling the audio fake. However, in a recent Facebook post, he expressed the emotional toll the situation has taken on him, admitting that thoughts of suicide have crossed his mind.

“I’ve never thought about suicide in my life, but now it’s coming to my head, seeing what people do to others just to bring them down or because they don’t like them,” he wrote.

Bobrisky added that while he doesn’t seek sympathy, the loss of his parents has left him without the support he might have once needed, concluding that he feels alone in this battle against his detractors.
