Abubakar Suleiman, the Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly has slammed Yakubu Dogara over his comment against Governor Bala Mohammed.
In a statement signed by Mulhtar Kobi, his spokesperson, Suleiman described Dogara’s criticism of the governor as “verbose, baseless, and self-serving diatribe.”
Recall that former speaker of the House of Representatives had described Governor Mohammed as an ingrate and betrayer attacking the minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike for aligning with the All Progressive Congress and President Tinubu.
According to Dogara, the Bauchi governor had in the past solicited for funds from Wike for his governorship campaign.
However, in his reaction Suleiman said Governor Mohammed is a statesman with unprecedented leadership assets.
He said, “The governor’s record of valuable services, grassroots appeal, and commitment to governance earned him the people’s mandate, not backroom deals or personal favours.”
“Unlike some politicians who rely solely on personal wealth, Governor Bala Mohammed’s leadership thrives on inclusivity and transparency. His campaign was powered by trust, not the whims of a single individual,” Suleiman said.
