The Enugu State Government, in collaboration with Café One and the Enugu SME Center, has launched “Enugu Café One”—a pioneering co-working space and digital hub of world-class calibre.

During the unveiling ceremony, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, Secretary to the State Government (SSG), stated that the hub is designed to empower Ndi-Enugu with state-of-the-art resources, premium workspaces, and an inspiring atmosphere.

He described the centre, aimed at techpreneurs, creatives, and business professionals, as “more than just a co-working space; it is a testament to our commitment to fostering digital transformation, innovation, and entrepreneurship in Enugu State.”

“Through this partnership, we are equipping young entrepreneurs, creatives, and tech talents with the vital resources needed to thrive in an ever-evolving digital economy. This is how we create a future-ready Enugu—by investing in environments that nurture ideas and turn them into successful enterprises.”

Arinze Chilo-Offiah, Special Adviser on MSMEs & Digital Economy/DG of the Enugu SME Center, highlighted that the hub, located at 22 Okpara Avenue, Achara, CCB Building, GRA, Enugu, seamlessly combines productivity, networking, and digital innovation, redefining how entrepreneurs and innovators collaborate and flourish in Enugu State.

He added that the launch marks a significant milestone in His Excellency Dr. Peter Mbah’s commitment to digital transformation.

“Today, we unveil not just a co-working space but a gateway to new opportunities for Ndi-Enugu. Café One Enugu is where young innovators can connect, learn, and build globally competitive businesses.

“Our vision is clear: to empower the next generation of entrepreneurs with an environment fostering creativity, collaboration, and success. The future of work is here, and it begins in Enugu.”

Hon. Chilo-Offiah elaborated on the significance of the centre, stating, “Young entrepreneurs and freelancers now have access to a world-class, fully equipped co-working space in the heart of Enugu, removing the financial burden of establishing an independent office.

“The hub cultivates an ecosystem of like-minded innovators, enabling youths to collaborate on projects, exchange ideas, and receive mentorship from seasoned professionals.

“Through workshops, masterclasses, and training programmes, Café One will offer sessions on tech skills, business development, and financial literacy to prepare youths for success in the digital economy.

“By fostering connections with investors, government agencies, and private sector partners, Café One creates opportunities for young entrepreneurs to secure funding for their businesses.

“The space serves as an incubation hub, providing startups with resources, business advisory services, and access to government-backed programmes designed to accelerate growth.”
