Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has reshuffled his cabinet, relieving five commissioners of their duties in a bid to strengthen governance and improve service delivery.

A statement issued by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado, described the move as part of the administration’s strategy to address emerging challenges and infuse fresh ideas into governance.

“This move reflects the administration’s commitment to injecting new ideas and energy into governance, in line with the Governor’s vision of strengthening the machinery of government and addressing emerging challenges effectively,” the statement read.

The affected commissioners include:
– Dr. Jamila Dahiru (Education)
– Barr. Abubakar Abdulhameed Bununu (Internal Security and Home Affairs)
– Comrade Usman Danturaki (Information and Communication)
– Professor Simon Madugu Yalams (Agriculture)
– Alhaji Yakubu Ibrahim Hamza (Religious Affairs and Societal Reorientation)

Governor Mohammed expressed gratitude to the outgoing commissioners for their contributions to the state’s development and wished them success in their future endeavors.

In a related development, the Governor has nominated eight individuals for security clearance and confirmation by the Bauchi State House of Assembly. The nominees are:
– Hon. Isa Babayo Tilde (Toro LGA)
– Abdullahi Mohammed (Misau LGA)
– Dr. Bala Musa Lukshi (Dass LGA)
– Usman Usman Shehu (Shira LGA)
– Iliyasu Aliyu Gital (Tafawa Balewa LGA)
– Prof. Titus Saul Ketkukah (Tafawa Balewa LGA)
– Hon. Adamu Babayo Gabarin (Darazo LGA)
– Dr. Mohammed Lawal Rimin Zayam (Toro LGA)
