Chuba Akpom says he is adapting to his new role at Eredivisie giants, Ajax, DAILY POST reports.
Akpom, who is naturally a centre forward has been deployed on the left wing by Ajax manager, Francesco Fariloli this season.
The 29-year-old has managed seven goals in 26 appearances for the former European champions.
The Nigerian-born forward stated that he has done his best for the club despite the challenges.
“It has been difficult. But I try to adapt. It is not natural for me to play on the side,” he was quoted by Ajaxshowtime.
“I do my job for the team and I always try to give one hundred percent, but it has been difficult to adapt to that.”
