BREAKING: Igbo Group Reacts After Minister Of Works, Dave Umahi Was Crowned As The “Igbo Man Of The Year”

An Igbo group known as Concerned Igbo Elites Forum has reacted after the Secretary-General of the Chidi Ibeh-led faction of Ohanaeze Ndigbo crowned the former governor of Ebonyi state and current Minister of Works, Dave Umahi as “Igbo Man Of The Year”.

The reaction of the group was contained in a report that was published on the official X handle of VANGUARD on Monday.

In the report that surfaced online, the group described the selection of Dave Umahi as a Kangaroo nomination.

The group claimed that the former governor of Ebonyi state doesn’t deserve the recognition because he has failed as the Minister of Works. The group said the minister was even lambasted by the House of Representatives panel over the deplorable state of roads across the nation.

The group was quoted as saying that;

“I don’t want to believe that the respected and most prominent largest group in the world is talking of the same Umahi that the House of Representatives committee on Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA) heavily lambasted over the deplorable state of the existing roads across Nigeria”.
