Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has once again voiced his unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, lauding the resilience of the people of Gaza amid the ongoing conflict with Israel.
In a statement shared on his verified Twitter account, Khamenei described the recent events in Gaza as a pivotal moment that will be recorded in history.
“It will be written in books that there was a mob who once killed thousands of children & women in Gaza!” Khamenei wrote, in a strong condemnation of the Israeli actions during the recent hostilities. He attributed Gaza’s endurance and the steadfastness of the Palestinian Resistance as key factors in forcing what he referred to as the “Zionist regime” into retreat.
Highlighting the sacrifices of the Palestinian people, Khamenei emphasized the historical significance of their struggle. He also extended his remarks to include the broader “Resistance Front,” a term often used to describe Iran-backed groups across the region that oppose Israeli policies.
The Supreme Leader’s comments align with Tehran’s longstanding policy of supporting Palestinian factions and opposing Israeli actions in the occupied territories. This latest statement comes amid intensified global scrutiny of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, where thousands of civilians have been killed or displaced due to the ongoing violence.
