BREAKING: Kano Police arrest suspects in kidnapping, murder, robbery cases

The Kano State Police Command has recorded significant achievements in its fight against crime, including the arrest of suspects involved in several high-profile cases.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Salman Dogo Garba, revealed this during a press briefing at the Police Headquarters in Bompai, Kano.

He disclosed that three suspects have been arrested in connection with the kidnapping and murder of Alhaji Atiku Mu’azu, a 64-year-old resident of Janbulo Quarters in Kano.

The suspects, identified as Abubakar Hassan (aka Captain), Adamu Abubakar Adam, and Alhaji Hamisu (aka Bakin Bross), were apprehended following a sustained intelligence-led operation.

In another incident, armed men attacked the residence of Alhaji Auwalu in Sabuwar Unguwa Garo, Kabo Local Government Area, robbing him of N8 million and kidnapping his 16-year-old daughter, Zainab Aliyu. CP Garba assured that the police have launched an investigation to rescue the victim and bring the perpetrators to justice.

Also, the police arrested 17 suspected armed robbers involved in an attack on Hotoro and Kawu Quarters in Kano, where they broke into shops, vandalised vehicles, and assaulted residents.

In a separate operation, three more suspects were arrested for robbing two victims of 200 mobile phones at Yankatsari Quarters.

The Commissioner of Police urged the public to remain vigilant, cautious, and report any suspicious activities or individuals to the nearest police station to help ensure the safety and security of the state.
