BREAKING: Katsina gov swears in new Chief of Staff, three others

The Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, has sworn in Abdulkadir Nasir as the new Chief of Staff.

Punch learnt that Nasir was a former Member of the House of Representatives from 2007-2011 and former state Chairman of the All Progressives Congress.

Until his new appointment, Nasir was the Managing Director of the Katsina State Irrigation Development Authority.

His previous leadership positions also include former Chairman of Malumfashi Local Government, Special Adviser on Empowerment and Team Leader of the 2 billion Naira CBN MSMDEDF State SPV in Katsina.

During the swearing-in ceremony held at the Katsina State Government House Council Chambers on Monday, three Special Advisers to the governor, Mustapha Bala Batsari as Special Advisor on Market Development, Ahmed Nasiru Sada as Special Advisor on Rural and Social Development as well as Hajiya Bilkisu Suleiman Ibrahim as Special Advisor on Banking and Finance were also sworn in.

The event additionally honoured the immediate past Chief of Staff, Jabiru Tsauri, who has been appointed by President Bola Tinubu recently as the National Coordinator of the New Partnership for African Development.

Radda described Jabiru as a committed and resourceful brother and friend.

While appreciating his service to the state, the Governor expressed optimism that the new NEPAD Boss will live up to expectations in his new role.

“Hon. Jabiru is a committed and resourceful brother and friend and I am optimistic that as the new NEPAD Boss, he will live up to expectations in his new role”, Radda said.

Governor Radda while speaking during the Inauguration charged the newly sworn-in appointees to support the policy of his administration. “I charge you to drive the State’s ‘Building Your Future’ strategic policy and deliver effective governance to the people of Katsina State.”
