BREAKING: Kwara Senator, Speaks on Reports of ‘Dumping APC’

Salihu Mustapha, the senator representing Kwara Central at the National Assembly has reacted to claims that he has left the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Mustapha while reacting to a viral video which captured him discussing ith a former president of the Senate during the past weekend.

In a statement issued by Nasif Solagberu his media aide, Mustapha described the report as baseless.

Salagberu said the lawmaker is committed to delivering quality representation of his people.

“The series of fabricated reports circulating on social media alleging his purported endorsement and defection are false.

“As a matter of principle and policy, we do not dignify fake news or its peddlers with rebuttals. This explains our dignified silence over the past weeks as various baseless claims, fabricated by the usual suspects, are being trended with reckless abandon across the social media.

“I am fully focused on my responsibility to my people and refuse to be distracted by cheap and unfounded propaganda,” Solagberu said.

He added that for the sake of clarity, the lawmaker remains a committed and loyal member of ruling party.

He urged the general public to disregard the report which he said is a product of imagination of detractors.
