BREAKING: Man Utd finish UEL league phase unbeaten; Osimhen’s Galatasaray in playoffs

English Premier League side Manchester United have sealed their direct route to the last 16 of the Europa League after finishing the league phase unbeaten.

The Red Devils defeated FCSB 2-0 on the final matchday tie, leaving their opponents who started the day in the top eight, to drop in the playoff zone.

Tottenham also secure their place in the top eight and received direct passage to the last-16 of the competition.

Spurs thrashed Elfsborg 3-0 to finish in fourth place, just behind Manchester United in third, while Lazio and Athletic Bilbao finished in first and second spots respectively.

Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen scored a late goal for Galatasaray but it was not enough to hand the Turkish side a win over Ajax.

The Dutch hosts sealed a 2-1 victory over Gala, with both clubs set for playoffs in their pursuit for spots in the round of 16.
