The President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has announced the extension of the 2024 budget’s lifespan to June 25, 2025.
The disclosure came during his opening remarks at the National Assembly’s joint sitting on Wednesday, where President Bola Ahmed Tinubu presented the 2025 Appropriation Bill.
Highlighting the performance of the 2024 budget, Senator Akpabio revealed that capital expenditure achieved a 50% implementation rate, while recurrent expenditure stood at 48%.
