The Nigerian Communications Satellite (NIGCOMSAT Ltd.), has inaugurated the second edition of the Accelerator programme, to catapult start-ups into global space-tech arena.
This is contained in a statement by Aisha Bantam, Assistant General Manager, Corporate Affairs, NIGCOMSAT, on Thursday in Abuja.
Bantam explained that the accelerator programme, was a transformative journey spanning key stages with unique blend of mentorship, networking and exposure.
She said that it would involve the filling of application forms available on the company’s website for prospective participants.
She quoted the Managing Director, NIGCOMSAT Ltd., Mrs Jane Egerton-Idehen, as saying that start-ups would leverage on satellite technology to address everyday challenges across various sectors.
Egerton-Idehen said this was including but not limited to space-tech, Agric-tech, adding that fin-tech, ed-tech, health-tech, and cybersecurity, were encouraged to apply for the programme.
She explained that the market value, presents the prestigious stamp of partnership with NIGCOMSAT, and open doors to the expansive global market, providing participating starts-ups with unique visibility and profitable opportunities.
She added that the participating starts-ups would evolve from conception to market ready solution.
