BREAKING: Nigerians in the UK are so ghetto – Man says, gives reasons

A Nigerian man currently residing in the United Kingdom, UK, has described fellow Nigerians in the UK as ghetto.

Iruefi, took to his X account on Friday to lament the behaviour and attitude of Nigerians living in the UK.

He noted that the only thing stopping the areas where Nigerian communities in the UK from becoming Ajegunle, is the presence of law and order in the country.

He stated,

“What you see online is very little, compared to what goes on in real life. Nigerians in the UK are so ghetto.”

He lamented that life in the UK is difficult, as most people live from paycheck to paycheck after spending hours working for their money.

“You stay one month without a job and the bills come piling up – you basically live paycheck to paycheck,” he stated.

Iruefi further stated that lots of Nigerians get involved in fraud to be able to keep up with the lifestyle that is expected of them.

“Nigerians here have the guts to defraud other Nigerians of thousands of pounds that was earned through blood and sweat. Mine was £8k last year and £21k in total. There are hundreds of cases like this and 10 out of 10 times, the culprits are Nigerians.

“My theory is that there are scarce resources in the UK currently and because Nigerians are classist and want to impress other Nigerians here and back home, they indulge in fraud to meet up with the lifestyle they have created which their minimum wage jobs can’t sustain,” he added.
