On Monday, January 20, the governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu met with the newly elected speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mojisola Meranda at the Lagos House Ikeja.
In a photo post made on X, the governor said Meranda was at his officer with a team of principal officers of the Lagos House of Assembly.
He added that the new Speaker and her team promised to maintain a good working relationship within the Lagos Assembly.
He said, “This morning, I received the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mojisola Meranda, and her team of Principal Officers at Lagos House, Ikeja.
“During the courtesy visit, the Speaker, her Principal Officers, and members of the Executive Council reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining a harmonious working relationship,” Sanwo-Olu said in the post.
He added that an alignment between the executive and legislative arm of the government provides a platform for the needed model of excellence in governance.
He said, “ We will build on the successes of the past and work tirelessly to deliver transformational progress across all sectors. Together, we will continue to implement policies and projects that deliver on our Greater Lagos vision.”
