A teenager identified as xel Rudakubana  has been sentenced to a minimum of 52 years in prison for the brutal murder of three young girls at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class in Southport, UK.

The attack, which took place in July last year, left the nation horrified.

Rudakubana, who was 17 at the time, also injured eight children and two adults during the knife rampage.

Prosecutors revealed his obsession with violence and killing, but noted his actions were not politically or religiously motivated.

He also pleaded guilty to attempted murder, producing ricin, and possessing an al-Qaeda manual.

The tragedy sparked weeks of anti-migrant riots fueled by false social media claims linking the attacker to asylum seekers.

The UK government has launched a public inquiry into the incident, with Prime Minister Keir Starmer vowing to address systemic failures.
