In a significant cabinet reshuffle on Wednesday, President Bola Tinubu dismissed five ministers and appointed seven new officials, reflecting growing calls for a revamp within his administration.

This restructuring aims to enhance efficiency in governance as the country grapples with various challenges.

Among the ministers relieved of their duties are Barrister Uju-Ken Ohanenye, the Minister of Women Affairs; Lola Ade-John, Minister of Tourism; and Prof. Tahir Mamman, SAN OON, Minister of Education.

Also sacked were Abdullahi Muhammad Gwarzo, Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, and Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim, Minister of Youth Development.

The President also reassigned ten ministers to new portfolios, signaling a strategic realignment within the government.

Notably, Shehu Dikko has been appointed Chairman of the National Sports Commission, while Sunday Akin Dare takes on the role of Special Adviser to the President on Public Communication and Orientation, operating from the Ministry of Information and National Orientation.
