CAA Region II Senior Athletics Championship: AFN President Okowa urges  athletes to do Nigeria proud

Ahead of the CAA Region II Senior Athletics Championship  starting in Accra today, President of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN), Chief Tonobok Okowa,  has urged  the Team Nigeria athletes to do the country proud at the event in Ghana.

Okowa, who also doubles as the President of CAA Region II, said  the athletes must  rise to the occasion and give their very best at the championship, scheduled for Monday, August 18^th  and Tuesday, August 19^th .

“This is another opportunity to show the world the strength and resilience of Nigerian athletes,” Okowa said  during the team’s final training session. “Go out there with confidence, make yourselves proud, make the Federation proud, and above all, make Nigeria proud. We believe in your talent, and we are confident you will deliver.”
