A pastor, and his wife have been handed jail terms, after being found guilty of fraud.

The duo were reported to have committed series of theft and fraud, ranking up ho millions of naira.
A pastor and his wife, simply identified as Harry and Kristen Uyanwanne have been handed multiple jail term for using their church for fraud.
While being arraigned by the EFCC at an Ikeja Special Offences Court, the duo were dound guilty, and sentenced for N52 million fraud.

According to the prosecution counsel, the accused were said to have claimed the sum of N10 million belonging to a deceased, one Mrs Adeola Odemuyiwa.
Also buttressing, the EFCC added that the couple sold a property at Plot 32, Block 9, Magodo, Lagos under false pretence that they were authorized to do so.
Delivering judgement on Wednesday, December 4, the judge, Justice Mojisola Dada said the couple, who were arraigned in February 25, 2020 have been found guilty of all the crimes.

The judge, on one count sentenced the duo to three years imprisonment, and sentenced Harry separately to seven years imprisonment.
The judge, however, held that the sentence would run concurrently and ordered that the church, Temple International Church be closed down.
She also ordered the convicts to restitute the sum of N31 million to the nominal complainant within 60 days of the judgment.
