Civil Servant Returns Missing N40 Million To Owner | Daily Report Nigeria

A civil servant has portrayed an act of selflessness and lack of greed, ashe returns missing money.

The man in question, a middle-ranking civil servant identified as Malam Aminu Umar Kofar Mazugal waa said to have found a bag filles with bundles of US dollar notes after it was forgotten at the Abubakar Imam Urology Centre in Kano.

The money, which when calculated was to the tune of forty million naira was said to belong to Alhaji Ahmed Mohammed, who forgot it at the parking lot near a mosque.

Alhaji Muhammed who rushed off to catch his flight forgot the bag, and it was found by Umar.

Speaking with Daily Trust, Umar said an hour later, the owner came back to inquire about the bag, and he promptly returned it to him.

He added that the owner offered to give him money as a sign of gratitude, but he rejected it, though he later collected his number and promised to meet with him when he returns from his travel.

According to Dr. Aminu Imam Yola, the Chief Medical Director of the hospital, who also confirmed the incident, Umars name had been submitted to the Kano State Hospitals Management Board for special recognition.
