Coastal Highway Project Won’t Impact Sporting Lagos Stadium: Enakhena

Sporting Lagos, a team in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), has verified that their stadium remains unaffected by the Federal Government’s coastal road initiative.

The club’s general manager, Godwin Enakhena, made this clarification on his social media handle.

Enakhena explained that the stadium’s construction had experienced delays due to the contractors.

Nonetheless, he mentioned that progress has been made, with the contractors now beginning to lay the pitch.

“Sporting Lagos are not affected by the Coastal Line issue,” he stated.

“Sporting Lagos should’ve been playing matches in its stadium last season but the contractor disappointed. I was there a few days ago and they’ve started laying the pitch.

“The 3000 capacity stadium, Landmark, by Trinity Church, it’s in an open space, next to the waters, lovely atmosphere to watch and play sports.” He said.
