Former Manchester United and Real Madrid player, Cristiano Ronaldo was knocked out of the Saudi Cup in the semi-final competition.
The Portuguese international was issued a Red card after he was adjudged to have shoved a player. Ronaldo could not hold his anger when he was sent off, in addition to his team being on the brink of getting knocked out of the competition.
Ronaldo was seen trying to throw a punch in the direction of the referee, he had to force himself to not go through with the idea. He had already clashed with the ref after Al-Nassr had a goal disallowed with the game still goalless.
The 39-year-old was initally shown a yellow card for his protesting over the disallowed goal, this had made him upset and caused his tempers to boil over later in the game.
Second-half goals from Salem Aldawsari and Malcolm secured the win for Al-Hilal to proceed to the final of the Saudi Super Cup. This win extends Al-Hilal's consecutive wins to 33, the most by any football team in the world.
