DTHA: APC Endorses Alapala For Second Term

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Burutu Local Government Area has endorsed Alapala Anthony Ebitonmo to serve a second term in the Delta State House of Assembly.

Alapala’s endorsement was part of resolutions reached during a leadership meeting of the party on Saturday.

Alapala, who represents Burutu Constituency 1 in the assembly, was adjudged to have “served well” and was unanimously adopted by members of the party, particularly his constituents.

Alapala, who was represented by his aide, Mr Cyril Tonfa, commended members of the party for their unwavering support and commitment to his administration.

The Minority Leader of the House expressed gratitude to the constituency for standing by him before, during, and after the main and rerun elections.

Other resolutions reached during the critical meeting included the need for old members of the party to work towards building and sustaining a formidable force at the grassroot level.

The meeting unanimously resolved for the next chairman of the party to emerge from Burutu Constituency 1 as the incumbent hails from Burutu Constituency II.

The meeting also resolved for the registration of new members to be put on hold until “further directive” is received from the leadership of the party.
