Edo clergy to be buried

The matriarch of the Omorogiuwa family and founder of Love of Christ Mission, the late Rev. Dr. Mrs. Grace Josephine Evbagharu Omorogiuwa, will be laid to rest in Benin City on Friday, September 19, 2025.

Aged 84, she was the wife of the former Permanent Secretary in the defunct Bendel State Civil Service and ex-Senior Lecturer in the Economics Department at the University of Benin, the late Dr. Peter Ada Omorogiuwa.

According to a statement released by the family, a Service of Songs will be held in her honour at her residence in Benin City on Wednesday, September 17, 2025.

The family will also observe a lying-in state ceremony, Praise Night/Candle Night Vigil on Thursday, September 17, 2025, as well as reception and entertainment of guests on Saturday, September 18, 2025.

The rites of passage ceremony will round off with a thanksgiving service on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at Love of Christ Mission, Ulegun community, Upper Sakponba Road, after Idogbo bypass in Benin City, Edo state.
