Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag expressed disappointment after his team failed to secure a win against Twente in their first Europa League match.
The Red Devils took the lead in the first half with a powerful goal from Christian Eriksen. However, they couldn’t capitalize on their advantage and allowed the Dutch team to get back into the match.
Eriksen lost possession, which led to Sam Lammers scoring past goalkeeper Andre Onana at the near post.

After the game, Erik Ten Hag spoke to TNT Sports and remarked,
“We kept them in the game. When you’re 1-0 up and controlling the match, you need to stay consistent and keep pushing. In the second half, we dropped our level and conceded the goal. We didn’t finish the job; we needed to go for a second goal, and because of that, we got punished for our mistake.”
