Tunisian powerhouse Esperance has officially launched a bid to sign Nigerian striker Peter Agba ahead of the 2025/26 CAF Champions League season.

The 22-year-old currently stars for Slovenian champions NK Olimpija Ljubljana, where his standout performances have caught the attention of multiple European clubs. Despite this, Esperance seems to be leading the race to secure his signature.

The Tunisian club’s management has initiated negotiations with Olimpija Ljubljana as they aim to bolster their squad with the talented forward.

Agba first gained recognition with Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets, playing a pivotal role in their 2019 WAFU U-17 Championship victory in Niger, where they defeated Ghana’s Black Starlets on penalties to qualify for the CAF U-17 Africa Cup of Nations.

He went on to feature prominently at the 2019 U-17 AFCON in Tanzania, helping Nigeria to a fourth-place finish, and was also part of the squad at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Brazil. There, Agba helped the Eaglets top their group before they were eliminated by the Netherlands in the Round of 16.
