Arrangements are underway to transport her body to Kebbi State, where funeral rites are expected to take place on Thursday in accordance with Islamic customs.
Abdulrasheed Bawa made history as the first civilian to lead the EFCC after being appointed by former President Muhammadu Buhari in February 2021.
His appointment was confirmed by the Senate, marking a significant moment in the fight against corruption.
However, in July 2023, Bawa was suspended from his position by President Bola Tinubu.
