Nigerian human rights lawyer Femi Falana (SAN) has issued a 12-hour ultimatum to crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, demanding a retraction and apology for defamatory statements made against him.
The ultimatum follows Bobrisky’s recent claims in an audio recording, where he alleged that Falana solicited ₦10 million to secure a presidential pardon for him while he was serving a six-month sentence.
In a letter from Falana’s legal representatives, the claims were described as “entirely baseless and damaging.”
They stated that Bobrisky’s accusations involved a fabricated conversation suggesting that Falana and his son, musician Falz, attempted to negotiate a pardon in exchange for money.

“We have confirmed that you took advantage of your recent imprisonment to extort money from a group of artists and other members of the public,” the letter asserts, detailing Bobrisky’s alleged request for ₦3 million to secure a favorable position in prison.
The letter demands that Bobrisky issue a public apology and retract his statements, warning that failure to comply will result in legal action for monetary damages. The legal team emphasized, “Our client has NEVER spoken to you on your pardon or any subject whatsoever.”
If Bobrisky does not comply within the stipulated timeframe, Falana’s representatives stated they would pursue appropriate legal remedies for the “incendiary, defamatory statements.”
