Daily Report Nigeria gathers that the accused, a woman, her husband, her brother and her sister have been found guilty, after being arraigned in court after they accused one Salamatu Musa, 30 of witchcraft, and proceeded to beat her to death in Village of Mallam-Madori Local Government Area of Jigawa State.Kwan-Dole

The convicts are identified as Hassan Isah (55 years old), Adama Yahaya (42 years old), Abdullahi Yahaya (35 years old), and Maryam Daso Yahaya (28 years old).
During the court hearing, the convicts were reported to have accused the deceased of witchcraft, adding that she caused the death of their son.

Delivering judgement, the court, which was presided by Justice Ado Yusuf Birnin-Kudu court found them guilty of criminal conspiracy and culpable homicide, offences punishable under Sections 97 and 221(b) of the Penal Code Laws.
Therefore, “the court is hereby convicted and sentenced them to Six (6) years imprisonment each for the offence of criminal conspiracy and death by hanging for the offence of culpable homicide.” the judge said
They have 90 days right of appeal.
