Flamingoes head coach, Bankole Olowookere, has announced a 21-player squad for the upcoming FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
Among the selected players by Bankole Olowookere are team captain Taiwo Afolabi, and standout forwards Harmony Chidi and Peace Effiong. Chidi had an impressive run during the qualifiers, netting 13 goals for the West African side.

The Flamingoes have been placed in Group A, where they will face the host nation, the Dominican Republic, alongside Ecuador and New Zealand.
The Nigerian delegation is set to leave the country on Tuesday, October 1st, flying with Turkish Airlines for a two-week training camp in Santo Domingo, the capital of the Dominican Republic, in preparation for the tournament.
Nigeria previously finished third in the last edition of the competition, which was held in India.
