The house of the chairman was reportedly invaded by unknown assailants, with the plan of killing him.
Unknown armed men have invaded the home of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NUTRW chairman, Mustapha Adekunle.
According to reports, the armed men went to his home with the plan of assassinating him, but they met his absence.

It was gathered that the hoodlums thought the NURTW chairman, popularly known as Sego was going to be in his home in Surulere, hence the attack.
This happened on Sunday, April 6, 2025.
Daily Report Nigeria gathers that the attackers assaulted the security man, before leaving the scene.
Confirming the incident to Nigerian Tribune, an aide to the NURTW chairman said;
It is true that some gunmen invaded the chairman’s house between Saturday and Sunday. They forced their way into the building and overpowered the security man. After attacking him, they left when they were told the chairman was not around.”

He also explained how the attackers assaulted the security officer, stating that they tied him up and took a phot of him.
Before they eventually left, they tied the security man and took his picture with a threat that he should not tell the chairman anything or they would come back and kill him,” the aide added.
