A secondary school student has been arrested after attacking a police station while wielding a pistol.
A 19-year-old secondary school student of the Ghana Secondary School, identified as Joshua Sarfo Korkpatey has been locked up after attacking a police station.

The student was said to have committed the crime of attacking the Effiduasi Police station on monday, October 21.
Daily Report Nigeria gathers that the suspect had earlier been indefinitely suspended from his school for stealing mattresses.
He was handed over to the police, who arrested him but granted him police enquiry bail until he struck the police station on Monday.

Confirming the arrest, the Eastern Regional PRO of the Ghana Police Service, ASP Ebenezer Tetteh said the student invaded the station, threatening to kill the investigator in charge of his case, Lance Corporal Oppong Noah but he was overpowered and disarmed by Police.
He was said to be carrying a metal bar and a locally manufactured pistol with one round of A.A Cartridge in the chamber.
The PRO also noted that while being locked up, Korkpatey Sarfo began banging the door and screaming like he was having a mental breakdown.
He was subsequently taken to a psychiatrist for further investigation.
“Police will take further action after a thorough mental examination on the suspect,” ASP Tetteh added
