Former Head of State, Abdulsalami Abubakar on Friday warned politicians against vote-buying.

Speaking at the event of signing the Peace Accord for the November 16 governorship election in Ondo State, Abubakar urged the candidates of the 17 parties to accept the outcome of the polls next Saturday.

He said the outcome should be accepted as long as the election is free, fair and credible.

He urged any candidate who feels dissatisfied with the outcome of the governorship poll to explore legitimate and peaceful means of addressing any issues.

It remains the duty of Nigerian citizens to elect their leaders free from any inducements or prejudice.

“Political actors must also discontinue this menace of vote trading,” he said.
