German President Steinmeier Arrives Nigeria, Set To Meet Tinubu

German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier has arrived in Nigeria for a three-day state visit, marking a significant milestone in strengthening bilateral ties between the two nations.

Steinmeier was received at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja by Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, on Tuesday night.

During his stay, Steinmeier is expected to engage in high-level talks with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the State House in Abuja, focusing on enhancing diplomatic relations, economic partnerships, and cultural exchange.

Following his discussion with President Tinubu, Steinmeier will meet with ECOWAS Commission President Alieu Omar Touray to address regional stability, security, and trade.

Steinmeier will also visit Lagos where he will connect with business leaders, visit a start-up hub, and interact with cultural icons Dr. Nike Okundaye and Nobel Laureate Prof. Wole Soyinka.
