Gunmen Ambush Police Vehicle, Kill DPO, Injure Another In Delta

• A group of gunmen have attacked a police vehicle in Delta, killing a DPO in the process.

• Daily Report Nigeria gathers that the gunmen also critically injured another person in the attack

A gang of gunmen have attacked and killed a police officer in the Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.

According to reports, the event was reported to have happened on Sunday, October 13 at about 1am, when the crew where on their way for an operation.

This attack saw the gruesome murder of the Divisional Police Officer of Agbarho Police Division, and also the critical injuries sustained by the DPO of Orerokpe, CSP Paul.

The injured Orerokpe DPO was rushed to an undisclosed hospital, for proper medical attention.

Confirming the attack, the spokesperson of the Delta State Police command, SP Bright Edafe said;

“It is confirmed. The DPO of Agbarho was killed and the Orerokpe DPO was injured. It was an ambush”,
