The Kogi State Police Command yesterday confirmed the killing of three of its officers by gunmen at a checkpoint in Egbe, a community which shares boundary with Kwara State.
Spokesman for the command, Superintendent of Police William Ovye-Aya confirmed the incident yesterday, saying the incident in the morning.

Ovye-Aya added that the Commissioner of Police, Miller Dantawaye had deployed the police tactical team to the area, adding that they were on the trail of the gunmen.
