Celebrity chef and Guinness World Record holder, Hilda Baci is preparing a test batch in a massive custom-built pot that has been circulating online.
Baci is set to cook the world’s largest pot of jollof rice on September 12, 2025.
The event, dubbed the Gino World Jollof Festival, will take place at Muri Okunola Park in Lagos and promises to be a celebration of West African food, music, and culture.
She wrote, “Six metres wide. Six metres tall. On September 12, we make history together. Because what is jollof without you to share it with?”
The festival will feature live performances and is open to the public for free.
Baci’s passion for jollof rice goes beyond just cooking; she aims to share the dish’s cultural significance and bring people together.
With her previous Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon, Baci is well-prepared to make history again with this monumental jollof rice feat.
