In a world where childhood is often defined by indulgence in games, gadgets, amusements and trends, 10-year-old Osaivbie Izendonmwen offers a different perspective.
A polygonal child, his interests span literature, advocacy, and football – and most recently, modelling.
Osaivbie made a dazzling debut into Nigeria’s competitive modelling scene through a standout advertisement campaign for the global sportswear giant, Adidas.
In the video, his adventurous spirit, adaptability skill and charisma loom large, delivering a spectacularly inspiring campaign.
The ad, launched by brand’s Lagos-based franchisee, features Osaivbie confidently strolling into a store to select a bespoke football jersey and his favourite pair of boots.

He described the experience as transformative, bolstering his confidence and bringing him closer to his dream.
“When I discovered the store, I felt like my dream of becoming a footballer was coming through. Wearing the boots to my next game, I felt free, fast, and like I would score a goal in the match, which I did,” he said.
Author of the children’s book ‘Wonders of Me’, Osaivbie latest interest intertwines storytelling with sports, highlighting binding traits of both worlds –discipline, harmony, alertness, aesthetics, and performance. He has shown that a love for books and a passion for football can co-exist, each enriching the other.
Beyond his writing and footballing skills, the prodigious Osaivbie is also a literary revivalist, championing reading culture among children. His devotion to the cause has seen him visit schools and donate storybooks to other kids.
Even at his young age, Osaivbie displays remarkable leadership, showing how books enriches the mind.
In 2024, he set and achieved an ambitious goal: to read 200 books.
His voyage through diverse literary landscapes reflects determination, focus and a belief in possibility, thereby offering inspiring lesson to children.
