Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today program on Monday, Governor Fubara expressed no regret in holding the local government elections last Saturday, despite opposition from Wike’s allies in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to Channels TV, it was reported that Fubara said he has all the guts to do the things he did in the state, including the swearing in of the elected local governments’ Chairmen.

Fubara said that he has kept all understanding he had with his predecessor, yet no peace.

He said, “There is nothing I have not done on this earth for peace to reign. I can tell you the number of times I have knelt to beg that let’s allow this issue to go. I have done everything.”
