The arrests occurred on October 7 in separate locations within the state, targeting key figures allegedly involved in banditry and terrorist support.

The operation led to the apprehension of suspects identified as Adamu Abubakar, Mohammed Bello, and Musa Adamu in Andamin village, located within Karim Lamido local government area, the army confirmed.

The Acting Spokesperson of 6 Brigade, Captain Oni Olubodunde, noted in a statement that the arrests occurred following a special operation in the Andamin region near the Taraba-Plateau border.

“These arrests are critical steps in dismantling the bandit networks terrorising the region,” said Olubodunde.

In a separate raid in Lau local government, troops detained Musa Inusa, a key logistics supplier alleged to be working with a known terrorist group.

The army revealed that Inusa’s role was crucial for providing supplies and materials to terrorists operating in the area.

“His arrest is expected to disrupt the supply chain and further weaken the operational capabilities of the group,” read the official statement.

Troops seized several items from Inusa, including a jack-knife, N2,460 in cash, wraps of a substance suspected to be Indian hemp, and other illicit drugs.
