Liverpool do not plan to make a second bid for Alexander Isak after having a first offer worth in the region of £110m rejected out of hand by Newcastle United.

Telegraph Sport understands that Newcastle are optimistic they can now keep Isak and are hopeful a compromise can be reached with the striker, who has made it clear he would like to move to Anfield.
